Our next Alaap, BMHM’s monthly support group, will be in collaboration with Sakhi for South Asian Survivors @sakhinyc. This month’s topic is Reclaiming our Stories: An Alaap for Survivors of Childhood Sexual Assault.

During this session, we will provide psychoeducation on the occurrence of Childhood Sexual Assault (CSA) and hold space for the impact of trauma. We will explore what healing and intimacy after trauma might look like for different survivors.

Content Warning: This event will include discussions of childhood sexual abuse and some of the topics may feel distressing or activating.

This session will be held in person in Long Island City, Queens. The exact location will be shared with those who register before the event.

Refreshments (a light dinner) will be served.
