Mapping Queens: Building Artist-Run Spaces

Join us for Mapping Queens: Building Artist-Run Spaces, a conversation highlighting artist-led spaces across Queens and the people creating them.
Presented through the Queens Cultural Mapping Initiative, this panel will bring together artists and organizers behind artist-run spaces from across the borough to share how their spaces came to life, the communities they serve, and the role they play in creating opportunities for artists to gather, create, exhibit, collaborate, and build community.
Panelists will discuss what inspired them to create their own spaces, the realities sustaining artist-led initiatives, and their visions for the future of artist-run spaces in Queens. The conversation will be followed by an audience Q&A and mixer.
Drinks and light refreshments will be available.
