For the first time ever, Japan Society is bringing over 25 Ainu performers, artisans, educators to New York City. This exciting series of events has been years in the planning and is a collaboration between Japan Society, the town of Biratori in Hokkaido, Japan. The events are co-programmed by filmmaker Naomi Mizoguchi, director of the film Ainu: Indigenous People of Japan with support from various NYC Japanese American community members.
