Hai-Kyung Suh Piano Recital: In Love · 연모

Hai-Kyung Suh, the first Asian pianist to win the top prize at the Busoni International Piano Competition in 1980, returns to Carnegie Hall. The program features Gluck’s Melodie from Orfeo ed Euridice (arr. Sgambati); Brahms’ Two Rhapsodies, Op. 79, Intermezzo in A Major and Ballade in G Minor from Six Pieces for Piano, Op. 118, and Book II of Variations on a Theme by Paganini; Liszt’s Transcendental Etude No. 10, “Sonetto del Petrarca No. 104,” and Rhapsodie espagnole; and the world premiere of Jeajoon Ryu’s Valse per pianoforte, commissioned by and dedicated to Hai-Kyung Suh.
