Future Leaders Scholarship

We are excited to announce that the 2025 NAAAP New York scholarships have launched! For both our leadership scholarship and project grant, winners will receive an award package that includes a $2,000 cash prize.

The Future Leaders Scholarship will be awarded to an individual who exhibits outstanding leadership potential. Ideal candidates will possess a combination of leadership achievements within their community, a passion for making a difference, ability to inspire others, academic achievement, and a connection to their API heritage.

REQUIREMENTS

  • You are a college-bound high school student or current college student.
  • You identify as Asian American or
    Pacific Islander.
  • You live in New York.

AWARD PACKAGE

  • $2,000 cash prize.
  • 1 hour mentorship/career session with a NAAAP NY board member or leader of your choice.
  • Free resume review.
  • Free 2-year NAAAP NY student membership.

Project Grant

The project grant will be awarded to an individual who has an idea, business plan, community engagement initiative, or social justice project that benefits the API community, Ideal candidates will pursue a project or initiative that will positively impact the API community.

REQUIREMENTS

  • You live in New York.
  • You do not need to identify as Asian
    American or Pacific Islander.

AWARD PACKAGE

  • $2,000 cash prize.
  • 1 hour mentorship/career session with a NAAAP NY board member or leader of your choice.
  • Free resume review.
  • Free 2-year NAAAP NY standard
