Long before hashtags and Pride month brand campaigns, queer and trans South Asians were organizing in living rooms, founding community groups, filing lawsuits, and fighting for the right to be seen. We stand on their shoulders. And the work isn’t finished.

Join Desi Rainbow on October 22 for a virtual conversation with activists, writers, organizers, and advocates who have shaped and continue to shape our movement across generations.

Why this matters now: Activists are the reason our families have more language, more visibility, and more protections than they did a generation ago. They built the spaces where so many of us first felt at home. Honoring that legacy means picking up where they left off, and one of the most powerful ways to do that is at the ballot box.

🗳️ Election Day is November 3. South Asian Americans are one of the fastest-growing voting blocs in the country, but our power only counts when we show up. Check your registration, make a plan to vote, and bring your family, friends, and chosen family with you. Our elders fought for a seat at the table. Let’s make sure we use it.
