Stories of Shared Resilience
6 Sundays July 26-Sept 6

Help us kick off Week 1 of this exciting free open to public cross-cultural storytelling event! We begin with a screening of Episode 1 of “The History of NYC’s Chinatown” produced by and with permission to screen from NYC Media, followed by an insightful conversation with community leaders and activists Will Depoo and Kimberly Denise Williams, moderated by Leonore Morgenstern on the Indo Caribbean and Jamaican Experience in America.

Dive into tales of community strength, creativity, and connections that have shaped these vibrant communities. It’s a chance to learn, share, and vibe together in the beautiful historic 9T at Riverside Church. Don’t miss out on this unique journey through stories that unite us all!

Stories of Shared Resilience is a 6-Sundays public program featuring weekly screenings of the 6-part documentary History of NYC’s Chinatown, produced by NYC Media. The event is organized by Storyjoy in conjunction with Riverside Education Ministries. All of the program will be entirely secular in content and will not include prayer, worship, or religious messaging. It will not be integrated into any religious service.

NYC Media is not a cosponsor, not a program partner, and not involved in planning, moderating, or facilitating the event. NYC Media is only granting permission to screen the series.
