Welcome to the fourth Queens Reading Series Event — ~❀poetry❀~ edition with some brilliant poets and writers.

​The readers are:

​Hannah Lee Nahar is a writer and teaching artist. Their work is published in Best New Poets, No, Dear, West Branch, Salt Hill, Mississippi Review, and elsewhere. They live in Brooklyn.

​Naomi Shuyama-Gómez is a writer based in the greater NYC area, on ancestral and unceded Munsee Lenape land. Her fiction and poetry appear in EcoTheo Review, Meniscus Literary Journal, The Boiler, Joyland, Denver Quarterly, The Margins, Gulf Coast Journal, The Cincinnati Review, The Journal, Michigan Quarterly Review, The Florida Review, and the minnesota review among others.

​c. melín lara (a.k.a Car Lara) is a multidisciplinary artist and experimental writer of Mexican and Honduran heritage, born and living in Queens, NYC on Lenapehoking land. Their multilingual work explores transculturality and mythic-domestic entanglements through translation play, formal experiments with typographical symbols and asemic transliterations.

​Andrew Chi Keong Yim was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaiʻi. His debut poetry collection, The Ninth Island, is forthcoming from University of Pittsburgh Press on February 9, 2027. His poems have appeared or are forthcoming in Best New Poets, Alaska Quarterly Review, either/or magazine, Voicemail Poems and other publications. Andrew lives in Queens and is a New York City public school teacher.

​Sreshtha Sen is a poet from Delhi. They studied Literatures in English from Delhi University, completed their MFA at Sarah Lawrence College, and their PhD at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Their work can be found published or forthcoming in Apogee, bitch media, Gulf Coast, Hyperallergic, Hyphen Magazine, Kenyon Review, The Margins, Mcsweeney’s, Rumpus and elsewhere. They live in Jackson Heights.

​Holly Zhou is a poet and mixed-media artist from the California desert, the unceded territory of the Cahuilla and Mojave peoples. Holly’s poetry and prose has appeared in The Kenyon Review, Michigan Quarterly Review, Seventh Wave & elsewhere. When not writing, they can be found exploring rocks by the ocean or in the mountains.
