We send warm greetings to our community during this cold winter season. The NY Day of Remembrance Committee has been meeting and planning for this year’s annual, in-person program and we look forward to sharing more information with you soon.

We invite you to join us on Thursday, February 19th from 7:30 pm – 8:00 pm ET for a virtual candlelighting ceremony on Zoom. During this candlelighting ceremony we will honor ancestors and survivors of our community’s incarceration experiences while holding space for those experiencing similar injustices today.

During our virtual commemoration we will welcome participants to hold up personal mementos, photos, family names, and candles. You may also type in the name(s) of loved ones into the chat feature at that time to be honored.
