Maximina Juson: One Person, One Vote?

As the 2024 presidential election nears, filmmaker Maximina Juson participates a virtual discussion about her film One Person, One Vote?, an eye-opening look at the US Electoral College, its slavery origins, and impact on American politics today through the eyes of four electors.
The film takes place during the historic 2020 elections – when the Electoral College took center stage like never before as political operatives used mechanisms in the Electoral College process to attempt to change the outcome. The film is bookended with never-before-seen footage at the US Capitol on January 6, 2021, when violence broke out in an effort to prevent Congress from certifying the Electoral College votes.
