Mahjong Together: Family Game Day

Calling families with kids of all ages! Gather your loved ones for a joyful afternoon of play, learning, and cultural connection at Mahjong Together: Family Game Day, hosted by Bo & Mei in partnership with The Mahjong Project, held at NYC’s Welcome to Chinatown.
Founders Mai Truong (Bo & Mei) and Nicole Wong (The Mahjong Project and author of Mahjong: House Rules from Across the Asian Diaspora) are excited to co-host this unique, family-friendly mahjong event out of a shared belief: mahjong is more than a game — it’s a bridge between generations, a way for families to gather, connect, and keep cultural traditions alive.
This event is also a celebration of the launch of Bo & Mei’s Mahjong Together, the first-ever classic mahjong set designed for kids and families, and the recently published and widely celebrated book Mahjong: House Rules from Across the Asian Diaspora by Nicole Wong.
This special gathering will feature guided mahjong learning, books sold by Yu & Me Books, snacks from Yun Hai Taiwanese Pantry, crafts, storytelling, food, and community fun.
