Event details

Join us for a joyful Lunar New Year celebration for families and children! Come ring in the Year of the Horse with an afternoon filled with cultural traditions, music, movement, and hands-on creativity.

The celebration will feature a violin performance by Third Street Partners students from PS 42 and a thrilling traditional lion dance by the NY Golden Lions. Together as a community, families will create their own bokjumeoni pouches and red envelopes using craft kits from Bo & Mei, an Asian female-owned small business.

This celebration is a wonderful opportunity for children to learn about Lunar New Year traditions in a fun, hands-on way while spending meaningful time with family and friends.

We look forward to celebrating with you—come dance, create, and welcome the Lunar New Year together!

Ticket Policy

• RSVPs are first-come, first-served.
• RSVPs are required of all attendees, including children. An adult must accompany all children.
• An RSVP does not guarantee a seat. Free events are oversold to accommodate drops.
• Same-day walkups will be accepted. Remaining seats will be released before the show starts, as space permits.

Venue Policy

• This venue is accessible to wheelchairs
• Large items, including strollers and carts, are not permitted in the hall but can be left in the lobby at the owner’s discretion. Third Street assumes no liability for any theft or damage.
• No food or drinks are permitted in the performance space.
• No pets allowed, service animals only.

Photo & Video Policy

To celebrate and promote our programs and school, photos and videos may occasionally be taken during classes, rehearsals, and performances. These images may be used in newsletters, social media, promotional materials, or on our website. By participating in our programs or attending an event at Third Street, you acknowledge and agree to this policy.
