Fundamentals 2025- Connecting Histories: Social Identities

In this workshop series, participants will be introduced to different historical and political formations of the Asian American identity.

This session will explore Asian American identity formations, with participants reflecting on their intersecting social identities, while analyzing the consequences of stereotypes and bias.

Meet our Facilitator

Reiney Lin (she/her) is a trainer and a team leader with the Racial Equity Institute, where she serves as the lead Asian American trainer, a consultant with the Groundwater Institute, and the founder, a core team member, and organizer with the California Anti-Racism Alliance. Reiney has an institutional background in public health with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and in higher education with the Center for Race, Ethnicity & Diversity Education at Elon University. She is honored to be a part of the AAJIL team and contribute to collective learning spaces essential to organizing and the movement for racial justice.
