Lecture Overview:
President Kwang Kim, a distinguished leader with over three decades of dedicated service to the Korean American community, will share his unique perspective on the journey of Korean immigrants in the Tri-State area. As a former president of Korean Community Services, HI2, and the Korean American Heritage Society, President Kim will explore the history of Korean immigration to the U.S., focusing on New York and surrounding regions, and how the needs of the community have evolved over generations.
This lecture will examine the key historical milestones and conclude with a deep dive into President Kim’s reflections on how the Korean community’s challenges, priorities, and aspirations have shifted. It will provide a roadmap for how future generations can continue to build a stronger, more inclusive society.
