Culture Connection: Me And Mr. Jones

QPL’s Culture Connection is delighted to host this conversation with Suzi Ronson and May Pang in honor of Women’s History Month! These women have been part of the histories of two of the biggest legends in rock ‘n’ roll: David Bowie and John Lennon. They will tell their own stories together, from a woman’s perspective, during this Culture Connection exclusive event.
Suzi Ronson recently penned her memoir Me and Mr. Jones: My Life with David Bowie and the Spiders from Mars. Ronson traveled the world with Bowie and his legendary backing band as his hairdresser, stylist, and confidante.
May Pang was hired by John Lennon and Yoko Ono as their personal assistant in 1970. She would eventually become their production coordinator. Pang is the author of the books Loving John and Instamatic Karma, where she recounts her personal and professional relationship with the musical icon and former Beatle. Pang has also worked for Apple Records and in A&R for United Artists and Island Records where she coordinated all activities related to the release of albums by Robert Palmer, Third World, and Bob Marley and the Wailers.
This program will be moderated by musician/artist Dylan Hundley (Lulu Lewis and Darling Black).
Limited copies of Me and Mr. Jones will be available for sale and signing.
Register for up to 3 free tickets.
