Chinese Banquet Dinner to Benefit Immigrant Social Services

The Immigrant Social Services Benefit Dinner is our signature fundraising event for the year. The funds raised will support our work to care for, invest in, and build up community in Chinatown and the Lower East Side–- from our work with students in afterschool programs, our engagement activities with immigrant parents, seniors, local educators and artists, our leadership on substance misuse prevention via the stewardship of the Chinatown360° Coalition to hiring home-grown young adults as staff members to work and serve in the community.
This year’s theme is Co-Creating Possibilities for the Chinatown Community and we are honored to celebrate distinguished community leaders, who exemplify a standard of excellence and community spirit which we, at ISS, strive to achieve: Po-Ling Ng, CPC Assistant Executive Director and Open Door Senior Center Director William Wang, AVP Asian Market Development, Healthfirst Casey Chan, the first Chinese American female firefighter in the FDNY and Sarinya Srisakul, the first Asian American female firefighter in the FDNY Bloom Li, actor With performances by Kiwanis Club for Community Care NYC Lion Dance Troupe and Stuyvesant Music Outreach League.
Funds raised from this event will support our work with students, elders, and multi-generational families to access their own strength and thrive despite the barriers they face.
