Join us for a play reading of playwright Jeannie Barroga’s BUFFALO’ED directed by Claro de los Reyes.

Barroga’s play theatrically interrogates the role of African American Buffalo Soldiers in the Philippines during the Philippine American War, circa 1899.

The reading will be followed by a Facilitated Dialog by historian Michael Salgarolo and scholar Cynthia Marasigan. This event is presented in partnership with Hi-ARTS, and is a featured program within Baryo Brooklyn: a public programs series on Filipino History in Brooklyn | Oct. 2026.
