Dance: GHAR/BA: Pride Edition

GHAR/BA
Ghar. The Gujarati word for house.
Garba. An ancient folk dance from Gujarat, danced in ancient circles to honor the divine feminine, the generative force at the center of all things. Add the pulse of House, Techno, and Disco. That’s GHAR/BA. A home for everyone.
ĀVARTAN (Sanskrit: आवर्तन) : a complete cycle of rhythm. The thing that brings you back around. A chance to start anew.
————-
A different type of pride celebration. Not a social mixer with movement as a backdrop, but an intentionally curated movement gathering in which the rhythm propels participants to build something together. The kind of altered state that can only come from within. Generated by the circle itself.

Part 1 — Dandiya warm-up and Garba drills.
