Last year, the AAPI community’s growing influence in government was powerfully demonstrated when the City Council secured $2.5 million for the first ever AAPI curriculum in NYC public schools, along with $3 million to support immigrant survivors of domestic violence. These historic achievements were made possible by the civic engagement and representation of New York City’s fastest-growing immigrant population.
