SUMMARY:SAADA Bucket-A-Thon: Storytelling Game
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a bucket of fun in NYC! Get early access to SAADA’s new storytelling board game. All attendees get a free game when it’s out!\n\n\nJoin us in NYC on Saturday\, October 11\, 2025\, for the world premiere of Memory Bucket—SAADA’s new cooperative storytelling game to play with the people you’re curious about. \nWe’ve poured our hearts into this game for over a year\, working hand in hand with our community\, and we’re so excited to finally share it with you! \nMemory Bucket helps you uncover the stories you’ve always wished you knew. Based on the methodology of SAADA’s First Days Project\, our new game allows you and your loved ones to travel back in time together to hear about the experiences that made them who they are today. \nInvite your friends and family to hear their stories\, and make new friends at the event. \nTicketed attendees will play a prototype of Memory Bucket at our Bucket-A-Thon and receive a Memory Bucket game for free (retail price $50) when we launch to the public later this year! \nWhat to Know\nSAADA’s Bucket-A-Thon (and Memory Bucket) is for ages 8+. \nYou may register as an individual or as part of a group. Individuals will be placed with groups\, and groups of fewer than six may be partnered with other groups or additional individuals. This is a great opportunity to build community and make new friends! \nLight refreshments will be served. \nPlease note: Photos and video will be taken at this event and may be used for promotional purposes on social media and other platforms. \nAbout SAADA\nSAADA is the South Asian American Digital Archive—the premier archive of South Asian American stories. Founded in 2008\, SAADA’s work is by\, for\, and with our community. Our archive\, storytelling projects\, exhibits\, artistic partnerships\, walking tours\, lesson plans\, books—and board games—reflect a community of over 6.1 million individuals and more than 250 years of history.
