DESCRIPTION:A conversation on the impact of art and technology on us and our world through the lens of cultural understanding.\n\n\nJoin us on Wednesday\, November 19\, 2025\, from 6:30-8:00 PM ET for a conversation on the impact of art and technology on us and our world through the lens of cultural understanding. As the development of technology reshapes creative practices and cross-cultural connections\, what will the future hold for artists and cultural institutions? Executive Director of the Asian Cultural Council (ACC)\, Judy Kim\, will introduce the conversation between Artistic Director of CultureHub\, Billy Clark\, and artist and educator Carrie Sijia Wang. \n  \nACC Voices: Art\, Technology\, and Us will explore questions including: What are the roles of artists and creatives in a world of ever developing digital space? How does technology inform humanity? And how may technologies like AI transform artistic creation and different means of cultural exchange? \n  \nA reception with lite bites and refreshments will follow the discussion. While this event is free and open to the public\, pre-registration is required\, and space is limited. Register by November 10. \n  \nDoors will open at 6:15 PM. Please aim to arrive in advance of 6:30 PM to fully enjoy this exciting program. \n  \nBilly Clark is the Artistic Director of CultureHub\, an incubator for creativity focused on the intersection of art and technology in New York City\, founded in partnership with the Seoul Institute of the Arts (ACC 1983) in Korea and La MaMa Experimental Theatre Club (ACC grants between 1977-2011). A graduate of the Experimental Theatre Wing\, he has been a performer\, director\, creative producer\, and designer in the New York City downtown art scene for over 30 years. He is a member of La MaMa’s Great Jones Repertory Company\, has performed in two of Min Tanaka’s world premieres\, and three of Tamar Rogoff’s performance projects. He is currently a professor at the Seoul Institute of the Arts where he has taught for 16 years. He was listed in the 100 Top Creatives by Origin Magazine. \nCarrie Sijia Wang is a socially-engaged artist and educator. Working with software\, video\, participatory experience\, and performance\, she creates digital fragments of reality that explore what it means to be human in a machine-coded world. Wang has been a 2024 Working Artist Fellow at Pioneer Works\, a 2023 More Art fellow\, a Year 8 member of NEW INC\, and a 2020 Mozilla Creative Media Award recipient.
