DESCRIPTION:Writers at Queens\, The Queens College Reading Series\, Presents \n\n\n\nA Reading by Kimiko Hahn \nLeFrak Concert Hall at Kupferberg Center for the Arts – Queens College \n\n\n\n\nin us for an evening with Kimiko Hahn\, recently appointed Poet Laureate of New York State by the New York State Writers Institute and a distinguished professor in the MFA Program at Queens College. The author of eleven collections including The Ghost Forest: New and Selected Poems\, Foreign Bodies\, Brain Fever\, and The Unbearable Heart\, winner of the American Book Award\, Hahn is known for her inventive explorations of science\, memory\, and language. She brings a powerful and original voice to contemporary literature. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe reading will be followed by a conversation facilitated by Sonia Arora\, as well as a reception and book signing. \nCo-sponsored by the Queens College Foundation\, School of the Arts\, Department of English\, and the MFA Program in Creative Writing and Literary Translation. \nThis event is free and open to the public.
