This program invites participants to discover the heritage\, flavor\, and versatility of Korean ginseng while exploring how this time-honored ingredient continues to inspire Korean cuisine today. \nA Culinary Journey from Tradition to Contemporary Cuisine \nLed by guest instructor Chef Kiki\, the program will explore Korean ginseng through both traditional and contemporary culinary perspectives. \nThe program will feature Samgyetang (Ginseng Chicken Soup)\, one of Korea’s best-known traditional nourishing dishes. To recover what was lost\, she embarks on a surreal journey through the void. \nBoundaries 경계 (2025)\nA passenger on a bus reclines their seat too far. This small action shifts the balance of the shared space\, sending everyone on board in an unexpected direction. \nStatue 동상 (2024)\nThe commotion begins when someone accidentally damages a statue that everyone respects. Whether their respect for the statue was sincere or a forced belief began to be revealed through the destruction of the statue. \nSociety of Clothes 옷장 속 사람들 (2024)\nWhen morning arrives in Society of Clothes\, a shirt and a pair of pants step outside the closet\, transforming into a human figure. In this world\, everyone exists only as clothes. They wander into the streets\, bodiless and faceless\, performing absurd daily tasks.\n \nGlasses 안경 (2025)\nYujin accidentally steps on her glasses and breaks the lenses. She visits an optical shop to get a new pair and looks through the lenses of an eye examination machine. There\, she sees a house with a pitched roof standing in the middle of a field. DESCRIPTION:This exhibition brings together four artists—Kakyoung Lee\, Buhm Hong\, Hong Seon Jang\, and Sun You—whose practices unfold between movement and becoming. Transit functions as a condition of passage through time\, labor\, and cultural frameworks\, while formation describes processes through which forms and identities take shape without closure. Working across sculpture\, installation\, animation\, and video\, the artists operate within these open-ended conditions\, occupying a dual state: always en route\, and at the same time\, becoming something else. \nThese four artists share more than a generational proximity. Based in New York and shaped by contemporary Korean diasporic conditions\, they have remained in ongoing dialogue for over a decade—observing one another’s practices\, exchanging questions\, and developing their work independently\, yet in close awareness of one another. The exhibition emerges from a sustained familiarity\, where distinct practices have evolved over time along parallel trajectories.
