SUMMARY:Columbia University Taiko Festival 2026
DESCRIPTION:Organized annually\, the CU Taiko Festival is a large musical performance event designed to celebrate traditional Japanese drumming\, fulfilling our mission of sharing the art of Taiko with the Columbia and broader New York City community. As well as showcasing our own playing\, we invite around 10 groups (100+ performers) to share the stage with us. Thus\, CUTF also provides a unique opportunity for Taiko artists of all levels and from around the country to socialize and play together\, assisting the exchange of knowledge between groups and overall strengthening the Taiko community in the USA. Specifically\, our two community performances provide a very special time for new and experienced musicians to share the stage in a welcoming atmosphere that encourages interaction and learning.
