DESCRIPTION:For the September 6th class\, students can choose among the Frog\, Owl\, Jizo\, Daruma\, and Goldfish designs. \nShape silk and fabric into a stunning Japanese decorative doll\, one piece at a time. \nKimekomi is a traditional Japanese craft with deep cultural roots. Using a wooden base\, you tuck colorful silk and fabric into carved grooves to create a beautiful keepsake doll—no sewing required. In this hands-on workshop\, our instructor guides you step by step as you bring your own doll to life and take it home. \n\n\nThis class welcomes all skill levels—whether you are completely new to Japanese craft or have an artistic background. All materials are included. \nYour instructor\, Keiko Fukuda\, was born in Nagasaki and studied Pop Art in Tokyo. She has taught traditional Japanese crafts\, famous painting reproductions\, and printmaking across several countries\, and founded YUME CLOUD STUDIO in 2016. \nPLEASE NOTE: The class sign up deadline is 72 hours before the class begins. DESCRIPTION:More than a cooking class\, think a book club meets around your grandma’s dining table. \n​Inspired by my own family tradition of making dumplings with my now 97-year-old grandma\, each gathering celebrates connection\, storytelling\, and the art of Chinese cuisine. \n​Join us on Sept.6th at 3:00 PM at Welcome to Chinatown and it will be your last chance to try out our summer menu! \n\n​🎟️ Your Ticket Includes: \n​✨ A 3-hour communal dumpling-making experience – 1 meat + 1 vegetarian filling\, yes we’re making the dough from scratch\, but totally beginner friendly since you won’t be working alone:)\n✨ Assorted nostalgic Asian snacks while you fold\n✨ A three-course\, summer-themed menu featuring seasonal appetizers\, the dumplings you make\, and dessert\n✨ All tools and materials provided \n​We can’t wait to roll dough\, fold dumplings\, and share food stories together ❤️ Come solo or with friends or family! \n\n​Please plan to arrive 5-10 minutes early to get settled. We’ll allow a 5-minute grace period before starting.
