DESCRIPTION:Asian American Arts Alliance (A4) is excited to kick off Pride month with the AAPI Pride Variety Show\, a night celebrating queer AAPI performance across drag\, comedy\, dance\, and more! \nHosted by drag queen Shia Ho with music by DJ Baejing\, the evening features emerging artists\, bold debuts\, and experimental work from the AAPI community. The final line-up will be announced on May 18. \nBring your energy and come support queer Asian artists: \n\nShia Ho\nBOYFACE\nChad Rangoon & The Cunt of Monte Cristo\nDill Dough King\nGabriella\nIncense Malice\nJupiter Lê\nJoy Vicious\nMariko Iwasa\nPrince Adoring\nSnax\nStella Sundari\nTABO\n\nOrganized by LORAIYA \n$10 with advance RSVP\n$15 at the door \nAll ticket proceeds directly support performer fees. \nInterested in performing? Thank you for your interest. Applications are now closed. \nCommunity Statement: We aim to create environments in person and online that are welcoming\, inclusive\, and safe – physically and emotionally – for our community members. If we observe actions or behaviors that can be interpreted as harmful or threatening\, A4 retains the right to use our discretion and remove the offending party. For our community’s safety\, we further reserve the right to suspend an offending party’s attendance at A4 events both in-person and virtual in perpetuity and removal from our online offerings (e.g. newsletter). We will do our best to accommodate. \nAbout Shia Ho\nShia Ho is a Japanese American drag artist and event producer who weaves her Asian and queer identity into bold performances and immersive parties across NYC. She is a creator of Made in Asia\, the largest AAPI drag festival in the US\, and passionate HIV advocate. @shiahonyc www.shiahonyc.com \nAbout Baejing\nBaeJing is your Chinese American Drag DJ sensation serving NYC for over seven years. Whether she’s twirling on stage or spinning behind the booth\, she’ll have you calling her “BAE”! @baejingdrag \nAbout Lauren Auyeung\nLauren Auyeung (LORAIYA) is a multimedia artist working across movement\, music\, design\, and performance art. Her interdisciplinary practice spans contemporary dance theater\, hyperpop music\, and drag\, exploring the relationship between bodies\, sound\, and technology through her ever-evolving practice.
