SUMMARY:A4 September Town Hall: Performing Arts & Multi-Hyphenates
DESCRIPTION:This September\, Asian American Arts Alliance (A4) presents a Town Hall centered on multi-hyphenates in the performing arts. Artists\, collectives\, and theatre companies are invited to share projects\, resources\, and opportunities with the AAPI creative community and to make connections. \nFeatured presenters include Kyoung H. Park\, the founder of K-Space International and KPB New York\, two public benefit corporations whose mission is to promote a culture of peace and non-violence through theater\, film\, television\, and the arts. \nWe’ll also hear from Miranda Gohh\, a Tony Award-nominated producer who is also the founder of Theatre Producers of Color (TPOC)\, an organization that empowers the next generation of BIPOC producers through education\, training\, and mentorship. She is also a co-founder of The Industry Standard Group (TISG)\, the first BIPOC-led commercial theatre investment and producing organization. \nAdditionally\, the evening will feature a line-up of brief pitches from the community. After the presentations\, we’ll host a potluck meal\, so please bring something to share; homemade or store bought items are welcome. \nThis event is FREE and open to the public.
