DESCRIPTION:BLASIAN MARCH BOOK FAIR IS BACK!\n\n\nJoin us for FREE BOOKS!\n\n\nBlasian March is turning FIVE! Join us for 1-5 PM at Immigrant Social Services in Manhattan’s Chinatown as we give away FREE BOOKS from Black\, Asian\, and Blasian authors to build solidarity through storytelling! \nThe Blasian March is a Black-Asian solidarity organization that builds community through art\, education\, and activation. The free books at the fair\, for all ages and of all genres\, are from Black\, Asian\, and Blasian authors that tell our histories on this stolen land\, struggles against white supremacy\, and ideas for collective liberation. Since its inception in 2022\, the book fair has distributed thousands of books to thousands of people in New York City\, Sacramento\, and Orlando\, with an emphasis on banned books. The action includes an all-day community resource fair\, performances at 3 PM\, and a panel at 4 PM. \nPanelists include: \nCathy Linh Che\, winner of the Kundiman Poetry Prize\, Norma Farber First Book Award from the Poetry Society of America\, and Best Poetry Book Award from the Association of Asian American Studies \nJennifer Baker\, Los Angeles Times Book Prize finalist and named New York Public Library’s Best Books of 2023 for her book Forget Me Not \nCarmen Lobue\, director of the Hulu OUT TV show DRE and cast member of The L Word: Generation Q. \nVisit us at www.blasianmarch.org to learn more and donate! \n\n\n\nFlyer by @eaudeamaranthine
