Over the course of an hour and aided by visuals ranging from family photos to images of Superman\, Edward answers all the questions he gets about being adopted. \nCase 84 has toured in NYC\, Philly\, Toronto\, Ithaca\, Boston\, D.C.\, Atlanta\, Chicago\, Minneapolis\, LA\, Austin\, Houston and San Fran. Case 84 is a show for anyone who has struggled with identity or just feels like people misunderstand where they come from. It is an immersive journey through Edward’s experience growing up in Philadelphia as a transracial adoptee and touches on the influence of American media on identity\, complex family dynamics\, and ultimately what it means to be an American. There are silly\, introspective\, and also painful moments in the show. As Edward’s journey unfolds\, viewers have the opportunity to learn alongside him\, gaining insights into the challenges faced by adoptees and the power of self-discovery. For four consecutive years\, Laughing Lassi has sold out its monthly shows\, building a loyal audience and becoming a home for South Asian stand-up comedy in New York. Over the years\, we have featured more than 200 comedians from New York\, across the United States\, and around the world. Every comedian who performs at the festival is selected through a multi-judge review process that evaluates submissions based on the quality of their material and performance.
